Student Disability Services (SDS) facilitates academic accommodations and services for students with disabilities to ensure everyone has equal access to course materials and activities.
The Director reviews the recommendations in the professional report submitted on the student’s behalf and determines eligibility for services. Please allow two weeks from the time all materials have been received for this review to be completed. Please allow four weeks for accommodations related to final exams. If approved, the student then meets with an SDS advisor to develop an accommodation plan for each class.
Each semester of enrollment, students seeking classroom and/or exam accommodations must set up an appointment with his/her advisor at 319-335-1462 to obtain the Student Academic Accommodation Request (SAAR) forms.
